My February TBR

As it is a short month I will only be adding 4 books on next month's TBR and fingers crossed I can get to all of them.

1) The Burning God by R.F.Kuang

In the aftermath of the Third Poppy War, shaman and warrior Rin are on the run: haunted by the atrocity she committed to end the war, addicted to opium, and hiding from the murderous commands of her vengeful god, the fiery Phoenix. Her only reason for living is to get revenge on the traitorous Empress who sold out Nikan to their enemies.

2) A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

Helene Aquilla, the Blood Shrike, is desperate to protect her sister's life and the lives of everyone in the Empire. But she knows that danger lurks on all sides: Emperor Marcus, haunted by his past, grows increasingly unstable and violent, while Keris Veturia, the ruthless Commandant, capitalizes on the Emperor's volatility to grow her own power--regardless of the carnage she leaves in her path.

3) Unsolved Deaths by Charles Phillips

This is as it says on the tin. It contains stories about strange deaths and mysterious disappearances that remain unsolved to this day.

4) Rainbow Milk by Paul Mendez

In the Black Country in the 1950s, ex-boxer Norman Alonso is a determined and humble Jamaican who has moved to Britain with his wife to secure a brighter future for themselves and their children. Blighted with unexpected illness and racism, Norman and his family are resilient in the face of such hostilities but are all too aware that they will need more than just hope to survive.
