She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen

 5/5 Stars

When high school nemeses Scottie and Irene literally crash into each other they are forced to share a car to get to school while Irene's car gets repaired. This brings up an opportunity for Scottie to get back at her toxic ex and climb the school's social ladder and bribes Irene into coming along for the ride.

This book was phenomenal. It had everything, a queer sports romance, a romance between a cheerleader and a basketball player, enemies to lovers, fake dating, only one bed. It was the most perfect YA romance and I think everyone should read it. There is a slight miscommunication where Scottie thought that Irene hated her as Irene played a prank on her in the past, however, Irene meant to do it to someone else but because their cars were the same make Scotties' car ended up being towed. While I hate the miscommunication trope usually but this book pulled it off so well. Scottie and Irene were brilliantly written and I definitely felt for both of them towards the end of the book when they both wanted to be together but they couldn't because Scottie was still hung up on her ex, I also loved the fact that Scottie didn't lie to Irene about this which I have found happens a lot in romance books.
