 4/5 Stars Julian Thick is in love with his best friend has been for most of his life. The only problem? Parker is straight and has been in an off and on again relationship for years. However when on Parkers wedding day his would be wife jilts him so she can 'do more adventures' he turns to his best friend Julian for comfort and maybe more. This was a really fun sweet and steamy friends to lovers romance and I have been loving friends to lovers lately. It had the perfect mix of angst, smut and romance. The characters were great and had a great dynamic.   There was a couple scenes that I really hated such as when Julian finds out the wedding is off he immediately assumes that Parker jilted Erin and assaulted him because of it. Then when he found out that is was actually her that jilted him he barley apologised for hitting him and wasn't nearly as mad at Erin than he was at Parker which confused me as Parker is his best friend not Erin. This book took me over a year to get to and I'm so mad at myself for taking this long to read it. It has everything that i love in it, whimsical settings, a cute romance, three dimensional side characters, a library. While I have no idea what was happening or why it was happening and I was left with more questions then answers at the end, I didn't care ...

And this time, failure means every Thomas witch will be stripped of their magic. I really enjoyed the magic system in this and the familial love that was prevalent throughout the entire book. I also very much enjoyed the plot twist towards the end where we find out that 'destroy her first love' doesn't have to mean that she kills the first person she falls in love with. However I hated the choice she made, and didn't understand at all why she chose to ruin her cousins life over the boy she fell in love with over the course of the book, I don't think it was explained very well. Classics is a genre that both terrifies me and intrigues me. I have read a fair amount of classics that I have at least 5 favourites that I think many people will also enjoy even if classics aren't you're thing. 1) Black Beauty by Anne Sewell My all time favourite classic and childhood favourite book. It tells the life story of a horse known as Black Beauty through his own eyes. We see him as he's a small foal living with his Mother and a kind farmer and when he's an adult living with grumpy and harsh farmers. 2) A Christmas Carol by Charles Dicken I reread this one every Christmas eve. It never gets old and I will always love the story it tells. Scrooge is a grumpy old man who takes advantage of those around him when one Christmas eve he is visited by 4 spirits in hopes of changing his ways. 3) Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll I love the whimsical feel of Wonderland that is a major part of this book. As the ward of the wealthy Mr. Locke, she feels little different from the artefacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place. Then she finds a strange book. A book that carries the scent of other worlds, and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure and danger. Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own. I have to be honest here, I read this one a few weeks ago now and if you asked me what the plot was I would have no idea. I've read over the synopsis and I still haven't got a clue. However, what I do remember is that the writing was phenomenal and the characters were amazing and well written and it felt like I was with them the entire time I was reading it (even if I don't know what they were doing).
